Sierra Nevada 2020/21 winter season

Cetursa Sierra Nevada sets out the following measures for the facilities and activities of the ski resort

  • A special system is established for the organization of access queues to the points of sale of the Plaza de Andalucía, ATMs and the lower stations of the Borreguiles and Al-Andalus gondola lifts, with the aim of maintaining the interpersonal distance between users.
  • The ski resort promotes the use of online ski pass buying or recharging systems (web or app) of ski pass, as well as the new system of reservation and contactless payment of the parking lots of the station, being these guarantee to avoid unnecessary contacts and allow much more agile access. They also provide advantages and added discounts for the customer.

Masks are mandatory in Cetursa Sierra Nevada facilities for guests over 6 years of age: ski lifts, boarding and waiting areas, enclosed spaces, restaurants, hotels, shops and rentals.

It is mandatory to maintain the safety distances, as well as to respect the indicated circulation circuits and the established capacity.

In general, both the general protection measures established by the health authorities at all times and the specific measures established by Cetursa Sierra Nevada for the facilities and activities of the station should be observed.

  • One of the two gondola lifts that connects Pradollano with Borreguiles (preferably the Al Andalus gondola) opens at 8.30 am every day of the season in order to speed up access to the track area.
  • Beyond what is recommended by the health authorities, limitations on the number of users per cabin are established for greater user safety in the two large ski lifts of the station.
    • Borreguiles gondola lift: 6 people per cabin.
    • Al-Andalus gondola: 8 people per cabin.

These limitations may be overcome provided that it is a family unit which lives in the same domicile.

  • The rest of the ski lifts (chairlifts, ski lifts and carpets), where users travel outdoors, maintain their usual transport capacity. The user should maintain the safety distance before boarding.
  • Sierra Nevada ski lifts are cleaned with environmentally safe disinfectant products. The cleaning and disinfection of common spaces is reinforced.

The hotels managed by Cetursa Sierra Nevada (AH Trevenque and Hotel Telecabina) adapt their facilities to the established protocols for tourist accommodation.

The hotels perform a special cleaning before opening, with disinfectant cleaner, bactericide, fungicide and viricide. The apartments will be cleaned in the absence of customers, for added security.

  • Safety distance is established in reception and lounges, with the capacity allowed. There is a separation screen between receptionist and client.
  • There are special disinfectant carpets at the hotel entrances and separation marks at reception.
  • The hotels have hydro-alcoholic hand gel dispensers at reception and public areas of the hotel.
  • Lifts and forklifts with individual capacity, except for family and social units.

COVID-19 policy on fortait or pedestrian ticket

Specific COVID clause included in the conditions of use of the ski pass:

With the acquisition of the ski lift pass, the user accepts the general conditions of use and the specific conditions of mandatory compliance established both by the competent health administrations derived from COVID 19, as well as those implemented by Cetursa Sierra Nevada.

The user will only be able to access the facilities if at the time of the visit it is not in house isolation, has no symptomatology, nor is it in quarantine period. Consequently, the visitor's access to the Sierra Nevada facility implies confirmation by him of such statements in relation to him/her.

It is also committed to complying with all safety protocols established in the ski resort.

Failure to comply with security protocols will result in the identification and blocking of that day's ski lift pass.

  • The restaurants managed by Cetursa Sierra Nevada (Restaurant La Bodega in Pradollano and all restaurants on pistes) set a maximum capacity of users and establish with sufficiently visible signage the indoor and outdoor areas that can be occupied.
  • Advance booking is recommended at table-service restaurants.

This capacity and use regulation may change depending on what is dictated by the competent health authority at any given time.

  • Ski or snowboard equipment rental establishments operated by Cetursa Sierra Nevada apply capacity limitations, which are visible instead.
  • Groups must reserve and make an appointment for the withdrawal of the material.
  • All rental equipment (skis, snowboards, boots and canes) will be cleaned with disinfection products after each use.

Cetursa Sierra Nevada adheres to the rules of use of spanish stations established by Atudem.
