The Sierra Nevada ski and mountain resort today received the visit of Santa Claus and his entourage as the beginning of the activities scheduled to celebrate Christmas. Santa Claus, accompanied by Suly, a Mascot from Sierra Nevada, and an entourage of elves and vintage skiers, has been greeted by dozens of children on the slopes of the El Rio track. He then went to the stage of the Plaza de Andalucía where he has collected letters and photographed himself with large and small.

On the other hand, Sierra Nevada has been able to open the tracks today after suffering two days of very adverse weather conditions, which prevented its opening on Friday and Saturday.

Since last night both snow production and footman machines have been working to restore normalcy. Today the station has been opened, and from tomorrow, 42.5 km skiing will be operational with an elevation of 1,100 m, that is, tracks will be opened from the Veleta to Pradollano. Also, the Veleta, Veleta II, Stadium, Emilio Reyes and Antonio Zayas ski lift will be open throughout the morning.

Also, the weather forecast, which announces sunny and stable weather for the next few days, will help restore normality at the station.
