This activity will consist of an interpretation of the night sky and an astronomical observation using a large portable telescope guided by an astronomer from the Azimuth team, to be carried out in the surroundings of the Paraje de Fuente Alta (near Pradollano).

Get up close and personal with the Moon from the spectacular Sierra Nevada sky! The Moon is probably the most spectacular object that can be observed through a telescope. Accompanied by one of the astrónom@s of the Azimuth team, we want you to observe its ancient lava-flooded plains, impact craters hundreds of kilometers in diameter with walls that rise thousands of meters, or even the remains of ancient volcanic tubes. All this enlivened with the interesting science and planetary knowledge that we have obtained from the study of our natural satellite.

Capacity: minimum/maximum 14 attendees (8 years and older).

August: 16 and 19 from 10:00 p.m. to 00:00 a.m.

IMPORTANT:

This visit takes place in a high mountain environment above 2,500 m a.s.l., and is why it is not recommended for people with heart or respiratory system problems as well as for the elderly.
During the activity, you must be accompanied by an authorized guide at all times.
Activity dependent on weather conditions.
It is essential to bring enough warm clothes as well as appropriate footwear.
Notice: The area of Fuente Alta, where the activity takes place, does not have public toilets.
