Those who know the Sierra Nevada well know that spring is one of the best times of the season to enjoy skiing, especially if the resort keeps all the areas open, with good snow thicknesses. The clear skies, the perfectly groomed pistes with a special spring treatment and the pleasant temperatures make this snow, which changes throughout the day, one of the best in the country for skiing at this time of year.
For all these reasons, here are five reasons not to miss skiing in spring:
1.- The snow
In spring, the snow conditions in Sierra Nevada are very special. Due to its altitude, the slopes are kept in very good condition throughout the day. Early in the morning the snow is hard, so it is advisable to start skiing in the lower areas of the resort: Rio, Loma Dilar, Cauchiles..., as the morning progresses the snow begins to melt, to have a layer of 2 or 3 cm of soft snow, so you can go up to the area of Borreguiles, to finish the day in the area of La Laguna or in the Veleta.
Itineraries:
1.- Skiers or snowboarders of medium or high level can choose to start the day by going up to the Loma de Dilar area, it is advisable to start the day's skiing via the Loma Dilar piste until returning to Pradollano; or in the case of experts, opt for the descent of a 'black' piste such as Fuente del Tesoro.
2.- Back in the cable car, skiers and snowboarders can opt for a few descents down Borreguiles - Perdiz, Rebeco, Zorro, Morillas, Granados, etc.-,
3.- After going back up the Stadium chairlift we can do the long run of the El Águila de Cauchiles piste or other red pistes in that area.
4.- Towards midday you can go up to the highest peaks by the Zayas chairlift to ski the slopes closest to the Veleta or to go into the Laguna, where the snow remains in better condition until early afternoon.
5.- Of course, beginner skiers have the green slopes of Borreguiles and the Family Zone of the Mar piste in perfect condition throughout the day and if they reach a certain level, our advice is to try the blue slopes of the Loma de Dilar or Borreguiles.

2.- The weather
According to the resort's weather data, recorded over the years, in April, Sierra Nevada enjoys a high percentage of sunny days. The temperatures in this month are milder, which makes skiing easier for the youngest skiers and also makes it easier for beginners to take to skiing, as they do not have to suffer the rigours of winter.
3.- The prices

The application allows you to download your video of the descent in the Giant Slalom "Audi" circuit in Sierra Nevada.

To enjoy Skiline you only have to add your ski pass number through the application and we will tell you the accumulated number of days and other data for the whole season (days of skiing, km skied, accumulated vertical drop, etc). The number you have to enter in the system is the small number printed on the card. You must enter it on the skiline.cc page after selecting the ski resort, in our case it is Granada-Spain and then Sierra Nevada, this is the one that corresponds to our internal system of cards.

SIERRA NEVADA ALREADY ADMITS BIZUM AS A FORM OF PAYMENT FOR ONLINE RESERVATIONS

On July 30, the Sierra Nevada ski resort launched Bizum as a new payment alternative for our customers. The purpose is to offer Sierra Nevada customers the possibility of paying for their purchases of ski passes or services with a fast, simple and versatile system such as BIZUM. For those younger customers who still do not have a credit or debit card, this option is the best.
Sierra Nevada has many clients with this profile and the implementation of this payment system makes us at the forefront. Bizum is a payment method that, due to its simplicity and speed, has had enormous growth and depth since its launch among the population.
One of the keys to its success is that it allows you to pay without having to provide any bank details, just your phone number. Previously, the client has to activate Bizum in their bank to be able to use it, but it is a very simple operation and almost all banks allow it to be activated with a “click” from the client's electronic banking system. <li style="text-align: justify;">The Andalusian Winter Sports Federation is organising together with Cetursa a spring relay competition to raise funds for the Ukrainian athletes who are living in Sierra Nevada.</li>
</ul>
Sunday 24th April, at 10am, the last race of the season will take place; a cross-country skiing event with free technique by teams in which both adults and children from 8 years old, Andalusian, national and Ukrainian long-distance runners can participate.
The Andalusian Winter Sports Federation has taken this initiative in order to raise funds to provide as much help as possible to Ukrainian athletes currently residing in the ski resort. For this purpose, apart from the money raised from the registration fees, an account number has been set up for the "Dorsal 0" in order to collect as many contributions as possible.
Cetursa Sierra Nevada has set up a 1km circuit in the Borreguiles area, where the "Team Spring" race will take place, consisting of one lap with relays for children under 16 and two laps with relays for adults.
After finishing the competition, the prize-giving will take place at the finish area. Three awards per category:
