La estación invernal de Sierra Nevada ampliará la temporada invernal 2024/25 hasta el domingo 4 de mayo, una semana más de lo previsto, gracias a las condiciones de nieve propiciadas por las borrascas de marzo que permiten prever buenas condiciones de nieve en la mitad superior del dominio esquiable.
Con esta decisión, Sierra Nevada será prácticamente la única oferta esquiable en el Sur de Europa después de Semana Santa.
Para potenciar las últimas semanas de la campaña invernal, Sierra Nevada podrá en marcha una campaña publicitaria para potenciar y aprovechar la considerada mejor nieve primavera de Europa; “Esquía la Primavera… hasta 4 de mayo” incluye un amplio programa de actividades deportivas y musicales. 
Así, en Borreguiles se sucederán las actuaciones de pinchadiscos y grupos de versiones, mientras que en los estadios de competición de la Loma de Dílar se disputarán hasta finalizar la temporada pruebas deportivas de todas las disciplinas de los deportes de invierno.

1.- Enjoy the best atmosphere
Sierra Nevada appears in the rankings of specialised publications as one of the resorts with the best atmosphere for young people. The entertainment offer in Pradollano: terraces, tapas bars, restaurants and pubs is one of its strong points, but also in the piste area the options are unbeatable.
This season the resort has added a new meeting point on the slopes: El Torreón terrace. Designed with modern and comfortable furniture, low tables and hammocks, it offers a unique atmosphere, a gourmet experience and a tasting point for the exquisite Moët &amp; Chandon champagne.
2.- Experience one of the best electronic music festivals
Considered one of the 10 best snow festivals in Europe, the Sun and Snow, the festival par excellence of Sierra Nevada, returns to consolidate itself as one of the best alternatives to enjoy winter sports and a unique musical programme in the south of Spain. The event will take place on 1, 2 and 3 April 2022 at the summits of Sierra Nevada. A unique experience that combines winter sports, mountain activities and the best electronic music of the moment. For this edition they will surprise us with new spaces and an unbeatable programme.
3.- Play on the slopes
It's not all about skiing, you can also compete with your friends, play to see who is the fastest or share a photo with privileged views.  With Skiline, the world's largest community of skiers, you can access the vertical metres skied; use the photopoint to take home a souvenir; compete in the Slalom or measure your times in the Speedcheck.
This application is used with the ski pass. You can try all the Skiline attractions before registering or afterwards, as you wish. The system saves the videos, descents and photos so you can view and download them whenever you want.
4.- Activate the El Subidón promotion for the University Community
For many years Sierra Nevada has been activating every season the El Subidón promotion for the purchase of ski days at very special prices. Designed for the university community, it is open to university students as well as teachers and administrative and service staff.
El Subidón is valid for undergraduate and postgraduate students at universities associated with the CRUE and the EUA. To benefit from the promotion, all you have to do is make an application through the website (www.elsubidon.es) attaching the supporting documentation to the Sierra Nevada Club account.
Once the documentation has been approved, you can access two products at very advantageous prices: Expert 2 days and Long Expert 5 days. 
5.- Use your European Youth Card to get important discounts.
The European Youth Card is valid in more than 40 countries, and with it you can enjoy discounts on all kinds of experiences: travel, leisure, culture, fashion, beauty... and of course winter sports in Sierra Nevada. This card is open to young people up to the age of 31.
At the resort you can get a 10% discount on season and long-stay passes (10, 15 and 20 days). Also to the offer "MAS + white days": 10% discount on midweek passes (Monday to Friday) from 2 to 5 consecutive days of ski passes, and prices with a 30% discount on 1-day passes, on the following dates: Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Epiphany and two days at Easter (14 and 15).

Sierra Nevada arranca este 21 de marzo la temporada de primavera con la puesta a la venta de un forfait especial, una amplia agenda cultural y deportiva, y las mejores condiciones de nieve de la campaña invernal 24/25, con más de tres metros de nieve en buena parte del dominio esquiable y una previsión de apertura de hasta 95 kilómetros esquiables.
Desde este viernes, la estación pone a la venta el SnowSpring, un forfait de dos días de libre disposición -por 70 euros- para usar desde el 1 de abril hasta cierre de temporada; se trata de un producto con unidades limitadas del que sólo se podrá adquirirse un forfait por usuario. 
Al SnowSring, que se pone a la venta este 21 de marzo, se le une una amplia programación musical y deportiva para hacer más divertido el último tercio de la temporada. &nbsp;Así, junto a eventos clásicos del calendario primaveral como el festival Sun and Snow o la Ultra Sierra Nevada, este año habrá Fiesta de la Primavera (sábado 22 marzo) en la plaza de Andalucía, organizada por la Asociación de Empresarios de Sierra Nevada.

El Campeonato de España de Esquí Alpino Absoluto, con los corredores RFEDI de Copa del Mundo y Copa de Europa, será la gran competición del mes de abril en Sierra Nevada, junto una decena de carreras regionales de esquí alpino, esquí de montaña, snowboard, y freestyle.
Con todo, las sesiones musicales en Borreguiles con pinchadiscos, instrumentistas y bandas de versiones componen la piedra angular de la programación junto con la implicación de los patrocinadores de la estación, que también se han volcado con la programación de verano.
Las condiciones de nieve, por lo demás, son excepcionales. Con más de 3 metros de nieve, dos de ellos caídos en las dos últimas semanas, afronta una de las temporadas primaverales más prometedoras de la historia reciente. La altitud y orientación de la pistas de Sierra Nevada han hecho de la nieve primavera de la estación granadina una referencia en los deportes de invierno, y este año las acumulaciones del manto nivoso prometen un gran mes de abril.

2018 South Korea Olympic champion Micaela Moioli of Italy won the second Sierra Nevada SBX World Cup today in an eventful final round in which two of the world's best riders, Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) and Charlotte Bankes (GBR), collided metres before the finish line as they battled for first place. Trespeuch, with a heavy impact to the face, was knocked out of the race, while Bankes, trailing, came in third behind Australia's Josie Baff.
Moioli, surprised by the crash that gave her the win, admitted after stepping off the top of the podium, "I thought I was going to be third, but sometimes you get lucky and I'm happy about that. I'm also happy that Charlotte and Chloe are doing well".
In the men's category, Lucas Eguibar's absence from the final, after crashing in the last corner of qualifying, dampened the atmosphere on the Loma de Dílar SBX circuit, which until this weekend had been favourable to him. "I wanted to be too aggressive, I found a bump in the last corner and I crashed. You always have to be concentrated. But I'm already looking forward to the next races to get rid of the thorn from Sierra Nevada", explained the Spanish rider.
Without Eguibar - neither Toni Toledo nor Bernat Rivera - the Spanish representation in the final rounds was reduced to Álvaro Romero.
The young Spaniard from San Sebastian came out in the first of the final heats (round of 16) but came up just a few centimetres short of reaching the quarter-finals.With Lucas out, the big favourites of the world circuit went through the rounds, among them the leader of the SBX World Cup, the Canadian Elliot Grondin, and the current world champion, the Austrian Jakob Dusek.
However, Merlin Surget, supported by the French fans in the stands of the Loma de Dílar, dominated the final round and, despite the strong pressure to which he was subjected by Grondin, he obtained in Sierra Nevada the second victory of his World Cup record.With Grondin second - consolidating his lead in the overall standings - Jakob Dusek took the third step of the podium.  "It's not easy to win.We were expecting a lot of wind - then it didn't come - and it was a tough day.It's my third time here; now always Sierra Nevada for this victory", said the French rider.
The Sierra Nevada SBX competition, sponsored by the Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía with co-financing from the European Union, and organised by Cetursa Sierra Nevada and the Andalusian and Spanish winter sports federations, was the seventh event in this season's Snowboard Cross World Cup calendar, and after the World Cups, it was the seventh event in the Sierra Nevada World Cup calendar. 
The Sierra Nevada SBX competition, sponsored by the Consejería de Turismo, Cultura y Deporte de la Junta de Andalucía with co-financing from the European Union, and organised by Cetursa Sierra Nevada and the Andalusian and Spanish winter sports federations, was the seventh event in this season's Snowboard Cross World Cup calendar, and after the Cups on 2 and 3 March in Sierra Nevada there will be three more rounds left to decide which riders will win the discipline's crystal globe.
