The ski pass on your mobile phone is now a reality!
In Sierra Nevada it is now possible, thanks to BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology, that you can purchase and carry your ski pass on your mobile phone with which you can access the slopes in the same way as with a conventional ski pass and without having to take out your mobile phone or manipulate it.
Sierra Nevada, always committed to innovation and the digital future, offers its customers an innovative system in the world of snow that allows skiers to carry their ski pass on their mobile phone and activate it from the resort's own APP, without the need for customers to download third-party APPs.
In addition to the technological and avant-garde aspect that this system brings, Sierra Nevada aims to considerably reduce the emission of chip card holders as part of its commitment to the environment.
And don't worry, you can still listen to your favourite music, connect to your social networks and check your email whenever you want. It's fully compatible with all the daily tasks you do on your mobile.
If you're someone who prefers to get lost and not be called while skiing, no problem because your Mobile Skipass will work, even if your phone is in aeroplane mode.
And the best of all is that you can do it from the Sierra Nevada APP that you already know, you will not need to download any other third-party application. The first time you use the service you will be asked for permissions to access the Bluetooth, it is important that you accept them for proper operation.
Although the use of the app and the Mobile Skipass will not use up much of your battery during the skiing day (5-10%), as always when you come to the mountain, we advise and ask you to bring your mobile phone fully charged.
2. Buy and download your ski pass on your mobile phone from the online shop or at the ticket offices where you will be given a QR to download the ski pass on your mobile phone.
3. Accept the permissions in the application.
4. Leave the application activated on your mobile.
5. Put your phone in the left side pocket of your jacket and go through the turnstile as usual.
What happens if I forget my phone or run out of battery?
In this case, you will have to go to the user service centre or to the Borreguiles ticket office, if you are already on the slopes, to request a change of holder.
Can I share my Mobile Skipass?
No, just like the conventional ski pass, the mobile skipass is personal and non-transferable.
What happens if I change my mobile phone and I already have my mobile skipass activated?
In this case, you must go to the customer service centre and request the change to the new device. As soon as the change takes place, the mobile skipass on your old mobile phone will no longer work. I have the App and I don't see the Mobile Skipass top-up option. Make sure that you are registered in the App with the same email address as in the retail centre.
