The Purple Route: The Lucks of Sierra Nevada is a free hiking route, without the need for a guide or ticket, ideal for those who want to enjoy the Sierra Nevada mountain at their own pace, in a natural environment of great scenic and cultural value.

The itinerary runs through the area of Fuente Alta, crossing dense forests of reforested conifers and open meadows that house the old suertes, historic plots that show the traditional way of life of the ancient inhabitants of Sierra Nevada. Among the most representative points is the Suerte de Fuente Alta, located about 700 meters from the beginning of the trail, with views of the slopes of the Pico del Veleta.

The route combines sections of shady forest with natural clearings, passing by enclaves such as Zangarina, Tominate or Visuelo, which makes it a perfect option for those looking for quiet hiking in Sierra Nevada, without great slopes and with a marked ethnographic interest.
