From today, the Sierra Nevada ski resort will be part of the Port of Motril's own stand at the international Mediterranean cruise fair, Seatrade Cruise Med, as a complementary offer to attract quality tourism to the province of Granada.

At the opening ceremony of the stand, the marketing director of Cetursa Sierra Nevada, Ignacio Valenzuela, informed of the tourist packages that the ski resort offers to cruise passengers arriving at the port of Motril.

With these offers, focused on the spring season in Sierra Nevada, the resort "collaborates in the tourist attraction of cruise ships as an exceptional tourist destination, aimed at quality tourism and purchasing power".

In addition to Cetursa Sierra Nevada, the Port of Motril has involved the Town Councils of Motril and Granada, the Provincial Council, the Patronato de la Alhambra y el Generalife, the Archbishopric of Granada, the Mancomunidad and the City and Provincial Council of Jaén in the most important cruise fair in the Mediterranean.

For his part, the president of the Port Authority of Motril, José García Fuentes, has taken advantage of these institutional alliances to highlight "a unique, rich and varied destination in which contrasts are the main key. Our objective is to make ourselves known, to attract new clients and to build up the loyalty of those who already work with us.

For this event, the Port of Motril has prepared an "intense, fruitful and complete agenda", in the words of García Fuentes, which includes two simultaneous summits, four forums and technical meetings with tour operators and the most important shipping companies in the sector worldwide. The Green Motrilport programme, consisting of twenty excursions based on sustainability, and the Welcome To Costa Tropical, which aims to convey a message of "excellence and commitment" to the sector, will also be presented.
